From CRMJ 365 : Race, Crime, Law

August Wagner-Richardson wrote on Monday, October 31st:
    Elevating Orange

    Elevating Orange

    By August aka Philosophica

    Life is a fluid thing
    For the extremist right wing
    Crocodile tears for the unborn
    And bullets for the living
    Condemning unwed mothers
    And backbiting each other

    Love thy fellow man
    Preaches the Christian verse
But if you don't pray as they pray
Then your bound to get cursed.

    Boom! Boom! Blast!
And with that came the mask
    With a task
    To deviate the peoples' minds
    And lead them to think
    Everything would be fine

    Point the finger
There's a new (_)igger in town
And since the first planes flew threw the twins
They shot the other one down.

Retaliation? Or an excuse to instigate
    Kids signing over souls
    Just so they can graduate.

    How ironic
    Young educated fools
Allowing themselves to be mass murder tools

    Engaging in warfare
    With no plan to succeed
GOP said "Fuck it! We just want to make them bleed!"

    Increasing the death toll
    5 innocent per second
We're all victims, but at who's discretion?
    For none of the victims
    Make the decisions

Army of one? Then this is not a democracy.
Who are we following? The eponymy of hypocrisy.
    Boom! Boom! Blast!
    Completed the task
And now that we live in fear
    We all wear the mask.

august -- thank you for the poem. be sure to post to the yahoo group and please read this to the class.
